Air Fryer Banana Boats

Keep the peel on

The peel is the boat. You eat the inside with a spoon.

Ripe but firm

Yellow with a few spots. Green bananas stay starchy; black ones collapse.

Wrap loosely

Foil holds the filling in without sealing steam into a soggy banana.

Step-by-step instructions

Follow each step in order. Photos show what to look for so the basket finish matches the plate.

Stuff

  1. Slice each banana lengthwise through the peel, deep enough to open a pocket but not cut all the way through. Gently pry the fruit open.

  2. Stuff with chocolate chips, marshmallows and peanuts if using. Wrap each banana loosely in foil.

Heat

  1. Air fry at 350°F (177°C) for 6-8 minutes until the fruit is soft and the filling is melted. Open carefully. Steam is hot.

  2. Serve in the peel with a spoon.
